I'm old school and wearing them takes me back to my childhood of growing up with Atari, Commodore 64, arcades, E.T., 80's music videos, etc. Using DaVinci Resolve Studio, I can say I have been able to add about 30% more color to 2D-3D anaglyph video conversion using 3D depth mattes, channel separation, offset, nodes, LUT, grading, etc.

Only works with DaVinci Resolve Studio but now you can create MP4 files with AAC, x264, x265, ProRes, etc. The answer is Voukoder for DaVinci Resolve. Sounds similar to your current workflow with Edius and TMPGEnc plugins. This allowed me to make custom settings using it's encoder and that was it. After editing and everything was done on my UMSP7 timeline, I would use DebugMode's FrameServer from the dropdown box for export creating a signpost file that was read in TMPGEnc. Takes me back to my days of using Ulead Media Studio Pro 7 with TMPGEnc. His method works but I found another way to get around all of this. When I mentioned AAC audio earlier, here's Jay Lippman's workaround for this well-documented problem. There are workarounds if you really need those features but not a deal breaker for everything thing else DaVinci Resolve delivers. Animated GIF support, cannot import/export MPEG-1/2 files and lousy AAC audio. Be mindful Blackmagic has taken the whole film industry approach so features consumer grade NLEs have DaVinci Resolve will not. Lifetime license, GPU acceleration, Noise Reduction, External Plugins support, etc. Purchasing the Studio version was a smart move. Glad I could help.
